UL Lafayette Stadium

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is undertaking a significant renovation of its football stadium, formerly known as Cajun Field, now renamed Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium. This $65 million project focuses on revitalizing the west side of the stadium, marking the most substantial upgrade since its original construction in 1971.

Key Features of the Renovation:

    • 34 luxury suites
    • 40 loge boxes
    • 524 club seats
    • An indoor club area
    • Five new chairback sections in the lower west bowl
  • Overall Capacity:
    • The stadium will accommodate over 30,000 spectators, providing a modern and comfortable game-day experience.

Project Timeline:

  • Commencement: Demolition began on December 11, 2023, initiating the construction phase.
  • Completion: The renovation is scheduled to be finalized before the start of the 2025 football season.
