Precision Construction is a Louisiana-based heavy civil contractor specializing in large-scale, self-performed infrastructure work across the United States. Our core capabilities include heavy civil earthwork, structural and mass concrete, underground utilities, deep foundations, and marine and coastal infrastructure.
We self-perform critical scopes with in-house crews and owned equipment, allowing us to maintain direct control over safety, quality, production, and schedule on complex, logistics-driven projects. From federal flood control and marine work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to industrial sites, schools, a stadium and municipal buildings, the same model runs through every job.

Our founder Travis Huggins grew up in a family deeply rooted in construction, and built Precision Construction on the values he learned there: honesty, integrity and work that lasts.
- Roots
Two generations before him
Travis was influenced by his grandfather, a successful general contractor in Orlando, Florida, who dedicated over 50 years to the trade, and followed closely in the footsteps of his father, a concrete construction veteran with 45 years of experience.
- 2006
The move to Louisiana
In 2006 Travis moved to Louisiana, where he cultivated relationships with many prominent construction companies. That network and experience laid the groundwork for his vision of a company of his own.
- 2019
Precision Construction is founded
Travis founded Precision Construction in 2019. His mission was to reshape the narrative of the Gulf South region by creating a company that values both its employees and its customers.
- 2021
The team grows
Nicholas Darby joined as a Project Manager and Estimator, rose to Chief Operating Officer and then to President. Office Manager Lyndsey Lafleur joined the same year, bringing more than a decade of office experience.

Under Travis's leadership, Precision Construction has become synonymous with honesty and integrity, with more than 300 jobs completed, self-performed work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Amazon and First Solar, and projects from Carencro to the LSU campus in Baton Rouge.

Dirt, foundations, concrete and utilities coordinated by one contractor, the way we delivered Project Eagle for Amazon and the Comite River Diversion as a USACE prime.

Our headquarters is at 401 Sonnier Rd. in Carencro, just north of Lafayette. Our project list runs from Carencro, Youngsville and Lafayette to the LSU campus in Baton Rouge, and out to federal flood control, coastal and marine work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Our president, Nicholas Darby, envisions a future where Precision Construction leads the Gulf South in quality, innovation and trust. Every project we take on is measured against that goal, and against the people it serves.
