1,501 Days accident free

Safety is our top priority. The count climbs every day our crews go home the way they came to work.

01 / OSHA

Safety is ourtop priority

The construction sector is a hazardous field, comprising high-risk jobs that include erection, alteration, and structural repair. Workers engage in many activities that expose them to serious threats, such as falling from heights, unguarded machinery, being struck by heavy equipment, electrocution, silica dust inhalation, and asbestos-related illnesses.

At Precision Construction, we strictly comply with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and protocols to ensure the well-being and safety of all personnel. Safety is a critical concern on any job site, and our stringent adherence to best practices reduces the potential for injury or accident.

On heavy civil and concrete work the risks are real every day: heavy equipment moving around crews, excavations, crane and pile work, marine logistics on remote sites. That is why safety is set from the top of the company down and built into how each task is planned, not added at the end.

02 / The program

Nine practices,every job site

The practices below apply on every Precision Construction project, from a school site in Carencro to mass concrete on a remote island.

Leadership

Our leaders are dedicated to fostering a culture of safety, setting the tone from the top to prioritize the health and safety of all workers.

JSA

Regular JSAs (job safety analyses) are conducted to identify and mitigate potential hazards before starting any task.

Site Inspections

Routine site inspections are conducted to identify and correct any safety issues promptly.

Communication Channels

Open and effective communication channels are established to report hazards, near misses, and incidents without delay.

Emergency Response

Comprehensive emergency response plans are in place to ensure swift and effective action in the event of an incident, minimizing harm and ensuring a coordinated response.

PPE

We supply and enforce the use of appropriate PPE to protect workers from potential hazards.

Equipment Maintenance

We maintain all equipment regularly to ensure it is in safe working condition, reducing the risk of mechanical failure and accidents.

Training

We provide extensive training programs to ensure all employees are knowledgeable about safety procedures and practices.

Continuous Improvement

We are committed to continuous improvement, regularly reviewing and updating our safety practices to keep up with industry standards and innovations.

How a shiftstarts and ends

Safety is a routine, repeated every day on every crew.

  1. 01

    Plan the task

A job safety analysis identifies the hazards of the work ahead and how each one will be controlled before the task starts.

  2. 02

    Gear up

Appropriate PPE is supplied and its use is enforced. Equipment is in safe working condition because it is maintained on a regular schedule.

  3. 03

    Inspect and speak up

Routine site inspections catch issues early, and open communication channels mean hazards and near misses are reported without delay.

  4. 04

    Review and improve

Training keeps every employee current, and our practices are reviewed and updated to keep up with industry standards and innovations.
